“This is a small pub just down the road from busy Times Square. I looked for a small pub style restaurant today that was off the beaten track a little. The place has a capacity of 148 people according to the sign at the front of the restaurant. The space is nicely decorated with appropriate Irish accents. Most importantly it's well kept and clean. Practically the entire right side of the pub is a giant bar with plenty of choice in liqueurs and a healthy selection of draft beer.
I had the goose island IPA which was smooth and hoppy, had a nice frothy head and refreshing. To accompany that I ordered the bangers and mash. The bangers were deep fried and quite flavourful. (not sure if frying them is the traditional method, but I quite enjoyed them that way). The mashes potatoes were light and fluffy and tasted freshly prepared. The onions were perfectly seasoned, buttery and slightly sweet on the palate. Everything was served nice and hot! It was definitely prepared to order and didn't have the 'heat lamp' feel to it. I will definitely be back for a future visit! My only pet peeve about this place was the mandatory 18% gratuity added to the bill. Not that I'm cheap but I didn't think this was fitting for a pub style restaurant.”
