“Interesting spin on a Korean comfort food, ddukbokki, enough to keep me eating it, but something was a little off for me. Maybe the peppercorns?”
“I loved this dish. It was the perfect amount of spicy, soft, crunchy, salty goodness. The density of the rice noodles were perfect and really made this dish in my opinion. I would fly to NYC just to eat this again. Something to consider- this dish might be overwhelming to eat by itself but it is great to share with friends along with a variety of other dishes here.”
“Spicy pork sausage and soft Chinese rice cakes with Chinese broccoli, Sichuan peppercorns and crispy shallots.
This reminded me a lot of MaPo Tofu with a strong Chinese comfort food vibe. I was shocked at how salty this dish was and docked it a spoon for that. If it was served alongside some jasmine rice, it would have been ok. But being a bare dish you ate solo, it was a bit overwhelming for me.”
