“This was an odd dish as I've never seem anything like this offered at a Vietnamese restaurant before.
The chicken was roasted with what appears to be Chinese five spice marinade, then transferred to an iron pot to be heated with the rice. Oddly the rice wasn't jasmine, but appeared to be Mexican rice. The rice was on the dry side too which wasn't that appealing.
The ginger was added after the fact and was an odd combo in the dish. I wouldn't order this again.”
